Our client located in Cape Town is looking to employee a Front Desk Reservationist
Responsibility:
To deliver friendly and effective customer service, that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.
The key aim is to retain and attract new customers and also provide high levels of internal customer service.
Assist in keeping Hotel reception area clean and tidy at all times.
To update the shift diary during and at the end of shift detailing all important activities carried out.
To maintain and display excellent knowledge of local area.
Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner whether in person, telephone and email.
Administer all reservations including invoicing, cancellations and no-shows, in line with company policy in a prompt and efficient manner.
Knows the type of rooms the hotel has as well as their location and layout.
Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, whilst maximizing bedroom and other sales opportunities.
Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.
Personally, demonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding to guests needs.
Understands the hotels policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
Report any maintenance issues immediately. This includes maintenance for all furniture, fittings and equipment.
Promotes goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers and fellow employees.
To greet the customer and identify their specific reservation.
To allocate rooms according to reservations list and guests request for the same days’ arrivals.
Check occupancy and give guest the option to upgrade to another room if there is availability.
To ask guest to complete the registration form, ensuring that the necessary details are obtained, i.e., name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, allowances, VIP, charge details, nationality, pport number, contact details etc.
To check that all registration forms are correctly completed, correct method of payment is taken on arrival and guest’s departure.
To issue the key card according to the number of people in the room to the guest that has checked in.
To ensure that luggage is delivered to and collected from rooms speedily.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: R7,500.00 - R9,000.00 per month
