Purpose of the Job

The Solar Installations Team Leader will be responsible for installing and commissioning all installations from beginning to end whilst upholding the Company's level of professionalism, workmanship, and ethics.

Furthermore, it will be the responsibility of the Solar Installations Team Leader to ensure that all installations are done in adherence to the SANS regulations and all other compliances specific to the local municipal legislature as required.

Requirements

Grade 12

Valid driver's license (non-negotiable)

Wireman's license or Qualified Electrician (non-negotiable)

2-5 years of previous work experience in the Solar and Renewables Industry (non-negotiable)

Lucrative earning potential on commissions +

Duties include but may change to daily tasks and requirements.

• To oversee and manage all solar installations in the Western Cape ensuring budgets are not exceeded and installations are executed effectively. These duties may extend beyond the Western Cape from time to time and the employee will be expected to carry out the same duties upon instruction.


• This role is effective on every project as soon as the sale is concluded by way of a signed quote or payment of hardware deposit.


• To take ownership of all activities relating to the successful installation of solutions as sold by the company.


• To manage the daily activities of all installation teams across active sites.


• To travel daily between active sites ensuring that the ISE brand is being upheld and that clients are happy.


• To travel between suppliers and sites as and when required to get stock issues sorted out and maintain client satisfaction. Some sites are far out of the main CT area but they all form part of the role of responsibility.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with the suppliers to get the best service possible from them.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with outsourced installers to get the best service possible from them.


• Assemble the racking and solar array.


• Installation of roof-mounted solar systems.


• Trenching, concrete work, and equipment embly.


• Sealing all roof penetrations.


• Project clean up.


• Electrically wire solar AC/DC system.


• Assemble equipment along with properly sealing all roof penetrations.


• Maintain inventory of equipment for each solar installation.


• Maintain a clean work site.


• From time to time, it will be required of the employee to attend to issues on existing and/or signed-off installations to resolve them as best possible within their level of expertise, experience & qualifications.
