Protential Resources are recruiting for several Dairy Farm istant Manager roles /Herd Manager positions on behalf of several progressive dairy producers located in Ireland .

These positions are initially offered for a two-year period with the option to renew for a further three years with the opportunity in year 5 to apply for and secure residency .

All positions are on well managed modern farms with progressive management team with a good understanding of the importance of a good work life balance .

Attractive salaries on offer ranging from €30,000 to €50,000 depending on experience .

Accommodation provided as part of the package.

As istant manager/Herds Person your main roles will include –

· Milking – supervise, maintain equipment, and ensure hygiene and milk recordings

· Herd health - monitor health, vaccination plan, calving and breeding

· Grland management – measures and soil fertility

· Fertiliser spreading and winter feeding

· Manage a small team – through good communication and planning

· Machine maintenance – ensure all machines are in working order

· Health and Safety – for yourself and all others on farm

If you are interested, you must have –

· A pion for cows .

· Experience as a working Dairy Farm Manager or as a Herd Manager and looking to progress

· Knowledge of grland management skills

· The ability to manage herd health

· A drive to continually improve performance and the farm

· Enthusiasm and reliability

· A team working ethic is essential as well as your own initiative

· Great communication skills

· Tractor licence and be competent at driving
