Type: Contractor (Hybrid) - with a 2 months in-office onboarding period

We are seeking a Front-end developer with a minimum of 2 years experience and a focus on Shopify for an ecommerce agency/start-up to join our development team. This is a Contractor Hybrid role with a 2months onboarding period in office - full time. The role requires that the developer owns their own computer for development and has access to Fast (50mb fibre+) Internet. Time availability for this role is from 9am - 6pm SAST and includes occasional work on US EST time zone.

Responsibilities:

The primary areas of focus will be on custom development of new Shopify stores for agencies and continues development work and updates to our in-house  Shopify Theme.

• Implement custom development (html/tailwind css/ typescript/ react) from Figma Files on Shopify stores


• Applying best practices for performance and maintainability


• Work effectively while presenting and communicating your development progress to the team

Tech skill set:

• Front end development




• Capable of writing easy to read & understandable code that is well organised and self explanatory (maintainability)


• JavaScript / TypeScript

• React JS


• Proficient experience in the Browser / DOM


• performance & maintainability are top priority


• understanding of server side rendering vs client side is an advantage

Salary:

Salary R35 000 - R55 000

Salary is dependent on experience
