UI/UX Developer

You will play a pivotal role in designing and refining the user experience.  You will work closely with the marketing team, specifically the marketing manager and developers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience as a UI/UX Front End Developer – proven experience


• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery


• Expertise in creating custom WordPress themes using PHP, including knowledge of template hierarchy and WordPress theme development standards.


• Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders and theme frameworks


• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles


• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, usability, and accessibility standards


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug front-end issues.


• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.


• Experience with Graphic Design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Sketch & Figma)

Duties include the following, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with graphic designers to transform wireframes, mock-ups, and design concepts into interactive, visually stunning, and responsive WordPress themes.


• Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing themes to meet project requirements, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation of designs.


•  Implement modern UI/UX best practices to enhance user engagement and interaction on websites.


• Optimize websites for performance, speed, and mobile responsiveness.


• Integrate third-party plugins, APIs, and technologies to enhance website functionality.


• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and troubleshoot and resolve compatibility issues as they arise.


• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually improve UI/UX design and the development processes.


• Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities.


• Conduct thorough testing and quality urance to identify and address bugs, UI issues, and other discrepancies.


• Communicate effectively with marketing managers, designers, and social media team to provide updates on project progress and address any challenges.

Salary:  Negotiable depending on experience
